Mark Linsz is a Senior Advisor at Reference Point and a member of the firm’s Advisory Board. In his role, Mark is responsible for supporting strategic planning, recruiting former banking executives into the firm’s unique consulting model, and driving new business development. 

Mark is the co-founder of My Next Season, a career transition firm supporting senior executives who are transitioning into new roles or to Board, non-profit opportunities, and retirement. Previously, Mark spent more than two decades at Bank of America in various senior management positions, most notably steering the company safely as the Corporate Treasurer for four years during the height of the financial crisis. While at Bank of America, Mark also served as the CFO Risk Executive, providing risk oversight of all risk elements for the CFO organization, including interest rate risk, market risk, and credit risk of the discretionary and whole loan mortgage portfolios, and liquidity and capital risk. His prior roles at Bank of America included serving as the Global Markets Risk Management Executive and as the Chief Risk Officer for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.  

Mark uses the financial and risk management expertise he acquired throughout his corporate career as a board member for private equity, financial services, and investment firms, and to give back to not-for-profit organizations. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at BlackRock and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and currently sits on the boards of Corporate Capital Trust II and CNL Strategic Capital. Mark’s not-for-profit board experience includes serving on the board of Opportunity International for six years, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for African Bible Colleges and LifeNet International.

Mark has been married to his wife, Becky, for more than 25 years and is the father of three young adult daughters. He and his family live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
