Monica Paniagua is a Manager at Reference Point with experience in business transformation, enterprise technology implementation, project management and regulatory compliance in the financial services industry. Her background includes Agile & Waterfall implementation, institutional payments transformation, sanctions screening & transaction monitoring, CCAR and DFAST regulatory management and end-to-end strategic design.
Monica joined Reference Point after 2.5 years at a global management consulting firm, where she became a fungible resource for her engagement across three main areas: Payment Control, Cash Settlements and Cash Management. Owning two workstreams within the client’s OTC settlements program, Monica supported the transformation of mainframe systems in a front-to-back Agile methodology. Monica also supported the remediation of the client’s payment control practice and managed the regulatory compliance within the space. Monica has been acknowledged as a trusted resource by her stakeholders that produces consistent deliverables.
Monica graduated from Columbia University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics. Outside of work, Monica enjoys drawing and exploring New York City for small restaurants.
