Chairman of the Advisory Board
Truett Tate is Chairman of the Advisory Board at Reference Point with over 40 years of senior executive and Board experience. As an executive, Truett has specialized in finance and has primarily served at large international banks, however, he has also held the title of CEO at multiple companies focusing on other industries including technology and communications. Truett is an established leader exemplified by his membership on the boards of public and private companies, his executive experience at large established institutions and his entrepreneurial spirit starting multiple successful businesses.
Prior to Reference Point, Truett was the CEO of USA, Network Countries and Global Securities Group for the Australia New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ). He also served as Group Executive Director at Lloyds Banking Group PLC, leading the board on International Wholesale Banking and Corporate Social Responsibility. Truett has held multiple executive level positions at financial services and technology firms and also founded a cost management business. He began his career at Citigroup, where he spent 27 years working in many cities around the world, eventually serving in numerous executive roles at the bank.
Truett is heavily involved in charitable and educational work (exemplified by his roles with William Wilberforce Trust, Opportunity International, the BITC, Gordon College and Portledge School, Just Enough, etc.). His network is broad and is leveraged through current and past roles on the British American Business Global Advisory Board, the Australian American Association Board, AFME Board, FEER, etc. In New York, he is a member of the Harvard Club, the Racquet and Tennis Club, Soho House and The Creek.
Truett lives on Long Island with his wife, Dorthe, and two children.
